This is what my computer looks like right now. You can even see the back of my Firefox and chat windows over then middle-left.
I'm running Ubuntu 7.10, 64-bit, with Compiz Fusion. I have a desktop background, but it's completely transparent so I can see my skydome in all it's glory--the lights seen from space. Unfortunately, the skydome is visibly stretched, but the size of my image is limited by the maximum texture my video card can handle, so I had to limit it to 4096 pixels wide, which still needed to be upscaled to produce the animated skydome. But overall, I'm happy with it. |
